God's Lent Child
I’ll lend you for a little while, a child of mine, God said
For you to love the while he lives and mourn for when he’s dead.
It may be six or seven years, or forty-two or three
But will you, till I call him back, take care of him for me?
He’ll bring his charms to gladden you and should his stay be brief
You’ll always have his memories as a solace in your grief.
I cannot promise he will stay, since all from earth return,
But there are lessons taught below I want this child to learn.
I’ve looked this whole world over in my search for teachers true
And from the folk that crowd Life’s lane I have chosen you.
Now will you give him all your love and not think the labour vain,
Nor hate me when I come to take this lent child back again?
I fancy that I heard them say “Dear God, thy will be done.
For all the joys this child will bring the risk of grief we’ll run.
We will shelter him with tenderness, we’ll love him while we may
And for all the happiness we’ve ever known, we’ll ever grateful stay.
But should the angels call him much sooner than we’d planned
We will brave the bitter grief that comes and try to understand.

God makes little children
He makes them every day
And though He loves them dearly

God does so love those children
It's all that He can do

The angel watches over
The child both day and night
So glad to see that lovely soul
All shining in God's light
God makes so many children

He seems to want one specially

He whispers to its Angel

That someday we may see
It sees the souls of mothers
And fathers in God's light
Offering him tiny children
Whose souls are shining bright
God does so love those children
Whos souls are never dim
And how he loves those parents
Who give them back to him.

I know first hand how these sort of things can affect you for the rest of your life you were blessed to of had such a lovely little man. Treasure your meories cause they are one thing that can never b taken away frm you. So sorry for your loss. Claire xxx

Christopher,
I miss you so much since you joined your nana and grandad.
You were so special to me son,You use to make me laugh when you called me some (rather colourful)names while playing football.I miss taking you out in the car and I miss you calling for me to see if I was playing out,Hehe.
You made me laugh the time you brought a watch home and then told me how you came by it,Son you were my little devil but a real star.
You made me cry when you ended up in hospital after resting all night with your head on the radiator,I was so worried about you.
But son, Nothing could have prepared me for what happened to you later,I still can`t manage to talk about it even after all these years.
I have placed a song on here for you,It was one of mine and your mums favourites,I hope you like it.
It`s time for me to go now son,So I`ll wish you goodnight,Godbless,I`ll be with you soon enough son.
